Last Night in Tokyo: Day 6 & 7
This will be the last post for our Memoirs of a Jap Trip. Hope u found the entries interesting. If you didn't find our trip interesting at all, go find Rich. He planned the trip k?? All his Fault!!! So then you can model your future Jap trips to be not like ours. Lol.
Day 6
We woke up slightly earlier today cos we wanted to go to this Tsujiki Fish Market which is basically a huge wet market that sell ALL kinds of seafood. It was a recommended visit, so we decided it'll be interesting. But by the time we reached there at 1015 AM, we saw that thefish market was EMPTY. Like some dead city like that. We were like, wtf?? I ask Rich whether he got see the opening hours correctly or not?? (U know, its very hard to trust a blur cock like him with such stuff.) "It's correct wat. Opening hours 5 - 11 AM. Recommended time 5 - 9 AM cos the fishmongers usually sell off their stocks by... Oh." -_-" Not really his fault cos we both decided not to wake up so early for some stoopid fishes, so... Oh well. Well, the fish market is still open at 10+ AM, we can still go in and out of the market, just that it's totally... empty. Kaoz. Define wasted trip.
So we suck thumb go to our next destination - Ueno. We're hoping to be lucky and catch some blossomed cherry blossoms at Ueno Park. Cos its only the 22nd of March and they are only expected to blossom from 25th March. But, hey, who knows?? Then sia la, really lucky. When we went, a few trees blossom liao. Muahahaha. Should've bought ToTo that day.
Then after touring round the HUGE Ueno park, we went to the nearby famous flea market:
We spent the whole day there, with so many shops and interesting items.
They sell alot of seafood there (alotta crap (crab). Wahahaha!! Sorry.), and, as a result, there are alotta cheap (relatively) and good sushi restaurants there. And that was where we ate our one and only sushi meal for poor NSFs like us. And the sushi there is good. The fish (or watever u order, squid, octopus, crab, eel, whale, shark, giant squid, man etc. Just kidding.) slice is almost as big as the ball of rice below it. And the meat is really fresh. I distinctly remember seeing the sushi jump into somone's mouth!! (Ya rite. Fresh. But not that fresh. Eh, the tentacle is crawling out of his nose!!!) Unlike the sushi they have in Sucky-sushi (No names. Dun wanna get sued.) where the rice is everything and the fish meat is... where issit?? Hidden in the rice???
And the whole place is also a shopping district, with alotta shops, like this adult shop. Heh.
So basically we spent the whole day there.
Last Day
Last day we gotta be at airport by 3pm la, so not much things to do. So we spent the morning at Akiharaba again cos Rich wanted to get his anime stuff. (We did our Maths and realised we under-spent!!!) So that's it la. Did I mention i got a bad stomachache?? Must be the damn sushi.
