Check.
Went for medical checkup at NUS yesterday with Leroy. Aiyo, go school also must check body. They scared we got bird flu issit?
Anyway we went early in the morning, hoping there won't be much people. Then plus my sis told me the checkup take some time one, so i thought die liao, probably will have to sit there and rot for half a day. But when we went there, luckily not many people. Then basket, go registration counter only first thing is ask for $25 checkup cost. Basket, its u ask me come here for check up and I still must pay??
Then aiya, went for the standard eye test, height & weight measurement. Then there's the urine test. Shit. And I just went toilet before stepping into the clinic. Luckily the nurse say pee a bit can liao, dun need to give her 1 whole cup of urine. (Nah, Miss, your, sorry, my urine. Cheers.)
Anyway, stepping out, I saw Clarence. For those who dun know, he is the top student in VJC (for my year la) and my classmate. And was it just me or did I distinctly see him studying lecture notes while waiting for his turn. Uni lecture notes some more. Kaoz. There's a reason why he can get 9 distinctions for 'A' levels... Oh well. Didn't manage to say hi anyway cos he went in to another room liao.
Then next was the consultation with the doctor. He look at me, ask the standard questions like got allergy, got medical history etc. All no la. Then he took my pulse say, "Wah, you very fit ah? Your heartbeat rate very low." Er, low = good? I thought low cos I damn slack? Then he ask, "You got any medical problems?" "Er, no." "Then u in Army PES wat?" "Er, PES C9." "Eh, then u just now say u no medical prob? Then how come PES C9." Then I say, "Er, actually I also dunno." Then he gave me the -_-" look. I say, "I dunno the technical term la. But basically its less blood than normal la. But it's minor one." Then he say, "Oh, so its Telaximia (<-- spell correct??) Minor la?" So since I dunno, I ask, "Er, actually means wat?" He explain, "Actually just means you got less blood than u should have for your age la. But its genetic, can't be cured." "Erm, so will it affect me in any way??" He told me, "Now u young, energetic, won't feel anything. But as u grow older, u'll feel less physically active. But u can still lead a normal life, get married have kids..." Not wat I meant. But anyway... I asked, "Er, but I can still take part in sports rite? Cos I run. And I just ran the marathon last year." He look at me, "Oh, did you complete the whole distance? (Ya, duh. Heh.) U can still participate in sports, but must rest adequately. You see, females have less blood than men cos of their monthly menstrual cycle, they lose blood. So your body probably contains the same amount of blood as a female of your age, and less than a normal guy. So this proves women can also run marathon. *Smiles*" Eh, Shit, wat u mean by I have same amount of blood as women? Testosterone still alot rite? Basket, I man k?? Then he try to listen to my heart beat through my shirt. He use the stethoscope, listen here, listen there, say, "Your heartbeat a little hard to hear eh?" Then basket, he lifted my shirt and use the stethoscope to listen more carefully. Basket, dun take chance touch here and there k??
Then before I left, he keep touching my hand ask me to take care, next time got any problem can come and see him anytime. Knnbccb. I quickly run out of the room. Then later ask Leroy (he see the same doc wat.) whether this doc got say the same things to him or not? Then Leroy said No.
Shit.
